Dallas Mavericks 140, Phoenix Suns 116
With a season high 20 assists on Sunday, Jason Kidd surpassed Magic Johnson for third place career assists in the NBA. With 19 points, Kidd needed six more rebounds to achieve the triple double in the Dallas Mavericks' 140-116 win over the Phoenix Suns.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 28 points while Josh Howard grabbed 24 of his own. Along with Jason Terry's 18, seven Mavs players scored in the double digits in just four quarters. With 24 points and three assists, Leandro Barbosa was the top performer for Phoenix, which itself had seven players score in the doubles.
In order to clinch a postseason berth, either the Mavs have to win one more or Phoenix has to lose one more. With entrance in the the playoffs nearly certain, Dallas is now looking to moving in seventh to avoid a first round match-up against the LA Lakers.
