Dallas Mavericks 130, Utah Jazz 101
Terry's "V" reminds you to vote for him for Sixth Man of the Year. And how much he loves that YMCA song.
With Wednesday night's win in Dallas against the Utah Jazz, the Mavericks not only solidified a spot in the playoffs, but pulled even with Utah for seventh place in the Western Conference. Only one game out of sixth place, and three games out of a tie for third, with four games left to play, three of them at home, the Mavs could see themselves climbing up the charts. It's no taking it easy from here on out, as they need to pull themselves out of the bottom slot in order to avoid a first-round playoff game with the Lakers, who are 9.5 games ahead of the second place Denver Nuggets in the West.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 31 points and grabbed seven rebounds while Jason Kidd had 10 assists. Jason Terry, playing with the support of nearly 5,000 fans wearing "Jet For Sixth Man of the Year" t-shirts, scored 21 points, while J.J. Barea knocked down 18 with nine assists.
