The Real Estate Council Government Affairs Committee endorses Linda Koop for Dallas City Council

— The Real Estate Council (TREC) has endorsed Linda Koop for Dallas City Council District 11. Councilmember Koop is running unopposed.

Michelle Corson, president of TREC, said, “Ms. Koop is a true leader on transportation issues and a strong advocate for the City of Dallas as Chair of the Regional Transportation Council. She has helped to secure $16.7 million of federal stimulus funding for Woodall Rodgers Park.”

Neal Sleeper, chair of the Government Affairs Committee for TREC, said, “We are fortunate to have a councilmember like Linda Koop who is a great advocate for economic development in the City of Dallas. Her knowledge of transportation and environmental issues and her ability to make things happen are a tremendous asset to the City Council.

In addition to Koop, TREC supports the following candidates for Dallas City Council:

District 1, Delia Jasso; District 2, Pauline Medrano; District 3, David Neumann; District 4, Dwaine Caraway; District 5, Vonciel Jones Hill; District 6, Steve Salazar; District 7, Ron J. Price; District 8, Tennell Atkins; District 9, Sheffie Kadane; District 10, Jerry Allen; District 12, Ron Natinsky; District 13, Ann Margolin and George “Brint” Ryan; and District 14, Angela Hunt.

TREC’s Government Affairs Committee endorses candidates whose goals are consistent with TREC’s mission, which is to influence action and support change to accomplish long-term job growth and enhance the quality of life in the North Texas region.
