Video interview: Chazz Redd
Dallas County District 7 Candidate Charles "Chazz" Redd sits down for a one-on-one interview.
If all you know about Charles "Chazz" Redd is that he appeared in some candid personal photos shirtless and brandishing a couple of semi-auto pistolas, then listen up and listen tight, Pilgrim: there is more to Chazz Redd than his friend Quanah's MySpace photos would lead one to believe.
Redd is a candidate for Dallas City Council District 7, which encompasses a large chunk of South and East Dallas. The incumbent serving District 7 is Carolyn R. Davis; in addition to Redd and Davis, there are half a dozen other candidates running for the district seat.
We thought it might be interesting to learn more about Chazz Redd than what he likes to do in his ill-considered wacky off-hours, so we invited him to join us at PegNews World HQ to tell us why he thinks he's qualified to run for city council.
Redd grew up in East Dallas and currently lives near Fair Park. Shortly after 9/11 he went to work for a branch of Homeland Security. Listen in to find out whether he thinks the MySpace photo incident has derailed his chances for winning the District 7 City Council race.

He sounds quite amiable and I like what he said about the myspace business. He seems down to earth and able to defend himself without being defensive is definitely a plus. Fresh blood and maybe something new for South Dallas.
