Concert preview: Pink Nasty and Black Nasty at Hailey’s (April 19)

This should be one of the most interesting and entertaining shows of the month. Pink Nasty and her brother, Black Nasty will bring their two very unique and very different styles to Hailey's Club in Denton this coming Sunday night, April 19.

Pink Nasty, or Sarah Beck, currently resides down in Austin where her folksy down to earth style fits in nicely. Imagine Alanis Morissette, but replace the bitchy whininess with a more cozy and relatable feeling. Her songs are poignant and meaningful pop creations that can at times be somewhat dark making Pink Nasty a very appropriate name for this budding artist. Her live show should have a little bit of everything. A little humor and sassiness are to be expected, but mostly just quality, down home tunes from Pink Nasty.

Accompanying her will be her brother, also appropriately named, Black Nasty. Another Austin resident, Black Nasty has made his reputation on being one of the most tasteless and vivid rappers around. But with that comes tremendous wit in most of his songs, as well as that unnamed ingredient that makes it impossible for you to turn this guy off once you have started to listen to his stuff. It is ridiculous, hilarious and unapologetically raunchy.
