Dallas Mavericks 96, Minnesota Timberwolves 94
The Dallas Mavericks jumped back into a sixth place tie in the Western Conference with a late victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night. Dallas outscored Minnesota 11-4 in the final 3:13 of play, capping the win when Jason Terry sank an 18- foot jumper with 0.2 left.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 34 points with nine rebounds, while Jason Terry added 22 of his own to the tally. J.J. Barea made his way into the starting lineup, taking 12 points, while Josh Howard sat out of the game to rest his left ankle. Mike Miller was the top performer for the Timberwolves with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists, while Craig Smith, the seventh man on the Minnesota lineup scored the most points for his side with 24.
