New Orleans Hornets 102, Dallas Mavericks 92
Hornets Point Guard Chris Paul nearly achieved the triple double in Sunday's effort against the Dallas Mavericks. Despite pulling even with the Hornets in the Western Conference standings after their match-up on Friday, the Mavs now drop back down to seventh, one game out of sixth and four games out of the three-way tie for third.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 29 points and had 14 rebounds. Josh Howard tacked up 15 points, while Jason Terry and J.J. Barea each notched 13. Chris Paul had 31 points, 17 assists, and nine rebounds to lead the Hornets in the 102-92 win.
