President Barack Obama got his dog from North Texas
Three factors lead up to the reporting of the trivial "news" that President Obama ended up with a puppy from North Texas:
- Quiet Monday after Easter, not much going on
- Animal stories are "cute"
- Pack-like mentality of media (and that includes this site, we want to get the water-cooler stuff in case Travis has something to say about Portuguese water dogs)
