Dallas Challenge to hold 7th annual Race for the Kids Gala

Join Dallas Challenge in their mission to help youth stay in school, off drugs and alcohol, and out of the criminal justice system, for a night at the races at the 7th Annual Race for the Kids Gala.

The evening will include a decadent dinner and dessert buffet; live and silent auctions featuring original artwork by Cuban artist Rolando Diaz and local artist Viola Delgado, vacation get-a-ways, spa packages, autographed sports memorabilia, electronics and more; and of course all the fun and excitement of live horse racing at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie.

Special guest Drew Waters – locally-based actor and international model as seen on television’s Friday Night Lights – will also be in attendance lending a helping hand to the Dallas Challenge staff in their fundraising efforts.

Sponsored in part by Ben E. Keith, QuikTrip, CBS Radio and Heritage Auction Galleries, the 2009 Race for the Kids Gala will benefit the youth and families of North Texas who are served by Dallas Challenge.

All proceeds benefit Dallas Challenge. For more information or for tickets, please call 972.566.4860.

Since 1984, Dallas Challenge has provided prevention, intervention, education, and outpatient substance abuse treatment services to over 125,000 youth of North Texas. Dallas Challenge serves the community without regard to race or income.
