Art openings and events in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, April 16-21
This weekend is jam packed with art festivals, walks and receptions to sate your artistic palette. If your looking to buy art, big or small, pricey or not-so pricey, this is the weekend to find it.
The Main Street Arts Festival in Sundance Square starts Thursday and runs through Sunday, with music, food and art booths galore. Friday is time again for the Late Nights at the DMA, always a good time.
Saturday is the DADA Spring Gallery Walk, starting in the early afternoon, followed by the DEEP Gallery Walk in Deep Ellum. Check our opening reception calendar or participating galleries for gallery specific events. You can even make it one big art day and hit up both. During the day there is an Ikebana demonstration at the Trammell Crow if you're looking for something a little more serene. You can also check out the Art for Darfur auction at SMU upporting the crisis in Darfur, Sudan.
