Dallas ISD elementary school teacher is finalist for 2009 H-E-B Excellence in Education Lifetime Achievement Award
Elizabeth Dry will now compete against seven peers in a statewide competition for big cash prizes.
DALLAS Elizabeth Dry, a teacher at Larry G. Smith Elementary School, is a finalist for the 2009 H-E-B Excellence in Education Lifetime Achievement Award in the elementary category. Dry is one of eight Texas educators recognized as the “Best in Texas Education.” Each teacher finalist received $1,000 for themselves and $1,000 for their school.
The eight educators will now compete against each other, in their respective categories, in a statewide competition for larger cash prizes totaling more than $500,000.
