Pastors protesting convention center hotel in Dallas may have been organized (in part) by marketing firm
According to this story on WFAA, Wednesday's protest, lead by various Pastors around town may have been organized, though not necessarily funded, by Marketing Collaborative, a firm itself paid by hotelier Harlan Crow.
Rev. Joe Rainbolt of Community West Baptist Church was leading the protest and claims that none of the pastors involved were given anything by Crow. Rainbolt expressed that many pastors have been upset that Mayor Leppert has been visiting southern Dallas churches speaking in favor of the hotel, and that this particular group of pastors gathered to offer the other side.
Meanwhile, a representative for Marketing Collaborative made it appear that her company played a sizable role in organizing the event, and attended and recorded the event, and had a lot of information about who was present and more available on request. You know, the typical things you would expect out a PR person who organized an event.
