Concert preview: Congratulations at the Boiler Room in Denton (April 24)
One of Denton's most recognizable and respected bands will take the stage at The Boiler Room this Friday. Congratulations, as I am sure you already know, is one of the regions most entertaining groups. You could call them a jam band but that hardly gives this five piece entourage their due credit.
Since the release of their album, It's a Band last summer, Congratulations has been hard at work creating an image for themselves as one of the most versatile and eclectic bands you will ever see. Mixing a blend of dozens of different styles of music, Congratulations is no one trick pony. You will hear bits and pieces of Jazz, Blues, and Rock, mixed in with tastes of Trance, Bluegrass and nearly any other style you can think of.
Their live show is something to behold and you will not be disappointed on Friday night. If you have seen them before then you know what i am talking about. And if you have not seen them yet, then you should immediately. They are a staple of the Denton music scene and for good reason.
