DC United 2, FC Dallas 0 (Open Cup play-in)
FC Dallas, who have beaten DC United in two previous Open Cup matchups, fell to the same team on Wednesday night in the (this) nation's capital. Despite the loss, FCD goalkeeper Ray Burse proved spectacular in net, turning away the onslaught of shots. But DC would get a goal in each half, from Fred (the one-named Brazilian-born midfielder) and Brandon Barklage (midfielder), to put the Hoops out of Open Cup contention.
