Dallas Mavericks 99, San Antonio Spurs 90 (Playoffs)
While the Spurs' main men, Tony Parker and Tim Duncan, were doing what was asked of them, essentially carrying their team, no other teammates stepped up the plate. Despite Parker's 43 points, the lack of a team effort put the Spurs at their third loss in the first round series against the Dallas Mavericks, just one game away from elimination, needing three wins in a row to survive.
Sevens were the lucky number for Jason Kidd on Saturday, as he scored 17 and took seven each of rebounds and assists to be the team's highest performer. While Dirk Nowitzki coasted a bit with 12 points and 13 rebounds, Josh Howard came out scoring with 28 points.
On Friday, Jason Terry was announced the Kia Sixth Man of the Year. He received 111 of a possible 121 first place votes from sports broadcasters and writers around the country.
Game 5 tips off on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. CST in San Antonio.
