Coppell wants you to go fishing with the family on May 9
On Saturday, May 9, the pond at Andy Brown Jr. Park East (at 260 Parkview Blvd.) will be pre-stocked with hundreds of pounds of catfish in preparation for Coppell's annual Family Fish event.
There will be a limited number of rods, reels and bait on hand for those who don't bring their own. A prize will be awarded for the biggest catch of the day (measured in length).
In addition to tackle, folks will want to bring along lawn chairs and a picnic lunch: since the event runs from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., you'll want to have some sustenance on hand to keep family members operating at their top angling potential.
