Denton gets its own self-serve yogurt place, Yogurt Story
And a second branch of Yogilicious is opening this week in Allen.
DENTON Add two more self-serve frozen-yogurt places to the list that includes Yogilicious, Yogurtland, and Yogurtville:
- Yogurt Story is a new place in Denton that's doing self-serve yogurt with the same dozen flavors you see in most of these places including "plain", green tea, blueberry, chocolate, and New York cheesecake. It has a similar decor as the various other self-serve fro-yo places [namely, pastel tiled walls].
- Meanwhile, there's a second branch of Yogilicious, the pioneer of the self-serve niche located in Uptown on McKinney Avenue at Blackburn, opening in Allen this week.
The self-serve model lets you pay for exactly what you get. If all you want is yogurt, that's what you pay for. The alternative is that the store pumps out a tiny squirt of yogurt for you and charges you $3.50, regardless of whether you want toppings or not. Natsumi and Orange Cup, I hate to tell you, but I think you're on notice.
Thanks to David G. for the tip.
