Recap: Fuse bamboo deck party (April 24)
High above downtown Dallas was the scene of the Fuse Spring bacchanal on Friday, April 24. Urbanites flocked to the rooftop deck for complimentary mojitos and Fuse's signature Asian fusion bites.
We did our people watching perched in a swing close by the food. Servers passed a yummy and hearty lettuce cup of bay scallops tossed with spicy mayo, mango, and jalapeno and moist, tangy meatball lollipops in a sticky barbecue sauce.
The hardest working man on the rooftop wasn't the DJ or a bartender, but the sushi chef. He made fresh tuna and crab rolls for waiting crowds at breakneck speed.
A stir-fry station kept the perfectly seasoned beef fried rice hot, which guests ate out of mini Chinese takeout cartons.
This party was postponed by a week due to weather, but it was worth the wait. Mood lighting, jovial crowds, and plentiful food and drink made it a great bash.
