Concert preview: Pops Carter and the Funkmonsters from Outer Space at the Boiler Room in Denton (May 1)
Denton's own resident Blues legend will take the stage one more time this Friday, May 1 at The Boiler Room. Pops Carter and his band The Funkmonsters From Outer Space have been roaming around Denton for nearly twenty years now.
Pops himself is considered one of the best musicians in the DFW region and has an arsenal of a musical resume. The ninety year old Carter has created music with some of the most prolific blues artists of all time, including Stevie Ray Voughn and B.B. King.
Carter can be seen most weekends hanging around some of the better shows in Denton if not performing for yet another crowd. Come see Carter on Friday night at the Boiler Room, especially if you have never seen him before.
