UPDATED: Former board member of Dallas-based A.H. Belo apologizes for Air Force One flap

Photo documentation of harrowing fright that New Yorkers recently endured.
Photo documentation of harrowing fright that New Yorkers recently endured.

Louis Caldera, director of the White House Military Office, and a former board member of Dallas-based A.H. Belo, was staging a photo-op using Presidential plane Air Force One and it upset some New Yorkers who were reminded of (gulp, sorrowful pause) 9-11. He apologized. Media flap! Wall Street Journal chortling! Fox News lip-licking!

Since Caldera is a former board member of Dallas-based A.H. Belo, we ostensibly care, and so does the DBJ, who is so excited to have the opportunity to use the word "epicenter", as in Caldera "found himself in the epicenter of a national controversy". You just don't get the opportunity to use the word "epicenter" that often, so when the opportunity presents itself, you really want to go for it.

UPDATE: Louis Caldera, who organized the photo shoot involving a low-flying Air Force One plane that panicked New York City residents, has resigned, according to Fox News.
