Hip Pocket Theatre announces 33rd season

Hip Pocket Theatre always brings something new to Fort Worth every summer and fall, and these next few months will be just as fresh and innovative, if not more. Coming up soon to kick off the new season is "A Pocket Full of Bluegrass", the annual music festival to celebrate the start of the new performance season on May 23.
The new season will feature new adaptations or new works and more info on each show will soon follow:
- Howl from June 5- June 28. By Allen Ginsberg, adapted for the stage by Johnny Simons. Based on the a masterpiece by American poet during the Beat Movement. "An epic raging against dehumanizing society that overcame censorship trials and obscenity charges to become one of the most widely read poems of the century." Friday - Sunday performances with showtimes at 9 p.m.
- The Prophet from July 10 - July 26. By Kahlil Gibran, adapted for the stage by Johnny Simons. Based on a series of philosophical essays by Lebanese American artist, poet, and writer. Friday - Sunday performances with showtimes at 9 p.m.
- The Ugly Brothers Present A Perfectly Lovely Play Featuring The Quiver Sisters And Their Pretty Little Ways from August 7 - August 30. New work by Johnny Simons. Friday - Sunday performances with showtimes at 9 p.m.
- Cowtown Puppetry Festival from September 4 - September 6. Dates for the entire event will be posted soon. Public performance.
- White Elephant from September 10 - September 20. By Lake Simons and John Dyer. Thursday - Sunday performances with showtimes at 8:15 p.m.
- A Princess Of Mars from October 2 - October 24. By Edgar Rice Burroughs, adapted for the stage by Johnny Simons. Based on the sci-fi novel, it is set on a dying Mars. Friday - Sunday performances with showtimes at 8:15 p.m.
