Addison-based American Community Newspapers files for bankruptcy
Addison-based American Community Newspapers, which publishes newspapers in four different regions (including 22 in North Texas such as the Plano Star Courier and the McKinney Courier-Gazette ), has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. ACN's stock is no longer listed on the American Stock Exchange and was last traded at a penny a share.
