Well, art festival and spring gallery walk season has pretty much come to an end, but don't be sad. There are still plenty of artsy fartsy goings on.

There are a few receptions on Friday, including the opening of Not Who You Think I Am at La Reunion. The exhibit features art made by incarcerated women in the Resolana program. Out in Fort Worth, William Campbell is opening Cliff Garten's Organic Geometries. Garten designed the light sculptures along Lancaster Avenue (which will have an official lighting ceremony Saturday around 8:30 pm) and the exhibit includes some of the drawings and renditions of the sculptures.

On Saturday, there are a handful openings on (and just off) Dragon Street if you want to make your own impromptu gallery walk. Pan American Art Projects, Conduit Gallery, Holly Johnson Gallery and Photographs Do Not Bend are opening new shows. There is also a little gem at the gallery at Continental Lofts in Deep Ellum featuring photographs of the Dallas Derby Devils.

UTD's Spring Art Festival also starts this weekend, featuring works by over 700 students artists and performers. The festival continues through next weekend.

If you are looking for something early next week, you can check out Tuesday Evenings at the Modern in Fort Worth. Currently on view at the Modern are dramatic, large-scale paintings by Rosson Crow. There is also a gallery talk on Indonesian textiles Wednesday afternoon at the Dallas Museum of Art.
