Dallas Mavericks 106, San Antonio Spurs 93
The Dallas Mavericks ended San Antonio's season earlier than the Spurs have been out of the playoffs since 2000. Scoring the first basket, Dallas took the lead and never lost it the entire game, going up by double digit points several times. The Spurs came within four on a few occasions, but could never find the equalizer. A slew of giveaways and absenteeism by every San Antonio player but Tony Parker and Tim Duncan showed that this team couldn't really find their stride Manu Ginobili-less.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 31 points with nine rebounds, while Jason Terry and Josh Howard each scored in the high teens. Six Mavs players scored in the double digits compared to only two Spurs scoring in the double digits, Duncan and Parker.
The Mavs now wait to see who they'll face in the second round of either the Denver Nuggets or the New Orleans Hornets. The Nuggets are up 3-1 and could end the series on Wednesday night in Denver.
