Carrollton-based construction company shuts down amid work on Irving animal shelter
Construction will halt temporarily on the Irving animal shelter after Hisaw and Associates, contracting firm on the job, was forced to shut down. Owner Dick Hisaw was frozen out of his accounts by his bonding company after he reportedly announced an impending retirement. Hisaw told his employees that he would have to shut down the company altogether as a result.
The bonding company is now responsible for completing the $6.5 million project and will meet with Irving officials today to discuss ways to keep the project on track.
