UPDATE: Re-opening is Monday May 11.

The Dallas County Health and Human Services Department has notified Dallas ISD that a student from Daniel Webster Elementary School has a confirmed case of the swine flu.

In order to limit the opportunity for this virus to continue to spread, Daniel Webster Elementary will be closed beginning tomorrow, Friday, May 1 until at least Monday, May 11 for the protection of our students and staff. Parents are welcome to pick up their children today if they would like. The school will remain open for the remainder of the day and buses will continue to run on schedule.

Dallas ISD officials continue to work closely with Dallas County Health officials to monitor any illnesses that are reported in our schools. If any students or staff have any flu-like symptoms (fever, achiness, coughing, diarrhea or sore throat), please see a physician immediately for a flu test and report any positive findings to a school nurse.

Tell them you travel extensively in Mexico - leverage that "z" at the end of your name - and tell them you think something disagreed with you from lunch.

But I can't lie since I'm Jesus. Last time I went to Mexico was 1.5 years ago. Retarded trip but got some nice pyramid pics.

Jason Rice says:

Ok, then we go Catholic on this one....

Follow my lead:

"Ah my homeland, Mexico... the pyramids... I remember them from since my childhood. I don't remember much about this last trip. I was a little out of it and kind of drowsy. I'm not sure I feel so good right now even."

I you get to the last word, I'll buy you a beer. That room will be empty.

Travis Bush says:

Actually..the great pyramids reside in places where there are not great masses living together. If I were at Chicken Pizza (AKA Chichen Itza) and someone got close enough to give me teh flu, I might push them down the stairs like yesterday's sacrifice...I'll let Jesus handle up on the rest.
