Serial bank robber gets down to business in Fort Worth
Noted bank robber John Dillinger had no comment about the string of heists in Cowtown. Because -- well -- he's dead.
On Friday (July 31) at about 3:30 p.m., Fort Worth police responded to a robbery call at the Bank of America in the 3100 block of University Dr. From the information they gathered during their investigation, they believe the robber is the same guy who robbed a bank on South Hulen on Thursday (July 30) and another near Lake Worth earlier in the week.
The suspected robber is described as a 50-year-old white man about 5' 7" tall with a mustache; he weighs in at about 160 pounds, say investigators, and he seems to be going for some kind of bank robbery windsprint record, as he's also thought to be the chap who held up two other Fort Worth banks on July 16 and July 23.
