Despite hopes that it would rise again following talks, the Arena Football League (AFL) is folding.
In December 2008, the AFL suspended play for 2009. Team leaders were in talks about investing in the league to bring it back for 2010, but could not reach consensus. The bankrupt league is now gone for good -- leaving no home for the Dallas Desperados.

There is still a lot of indoor football being played in the Metroplex. Check out the Independent Indoor Football Alliance. They play in the Spring too.
