Cowboys Stadium luxury suites selling $90 $60 pizzas
Everybody knows that buying season tickets for Dallas Cowboys games have gotten much more expensive. But those who can afford an $800,000 luxury suite (game tickets extra) are facing exorbitant prices for even basic concessions, including $90 $60 for a plain cheese pizza, $66 for a 12-pack of beer, and $22 for a four-pack of Red Bull.
Of course, if you're willing to shell out 800 grand before you even buy your tickets, then methinks $90 $60 for a pizza is just a drop in the bucket.

Wow. How much money would you have to make to not worry about the rediculous price of your pizza? I couldn't even imagine!

Need to update this article as the orginial information is inaccurate.
Pizza is $60 (good deal, huh?)
Beers are $5 each
Cost of suite includes tickets to Cowboys games but not other events
The suites are cheaper than $800 K

My company has a suite. I can verify the menus states the pizzas (cheese and other) are $60 each. Specialty beer is $66/12-pack; domestic is $60. They are also charging for plates, napkins, cups, etc.

Okay, thinking about it some more, $5-$5.50 per beer is not that bad of a deal -- downright reasonable for a stadium, in fact. But I still fail to see how they can justify charging $60 for a pizza.

leave it to PegNews people to put out the right info. The beer is in line with some bars but for $60 pizza I want my flown in from Naples or a gent flipping dough in the back of the suite.
Question: do people in suites smuggle in food to stadiums like common folk?

If you put it in perspective, I think they charge like about $6 or $7 bucks for the little rinky-dink personal pan pizzas. So, assuming this pizza has a minimum of probably 8 pieces, that puts it at $7.50 a slice. I don't know how big the pizzas are, but if it's a fairly large sized pizza - and assuming it's decent quality, it doesn't seem that unreasonable of a price.
I don't understand why people can't just accept the fact that you're going to pay more for food/drink in a stadium/arena than you would if you go to a restaurant? Would I rather it be different? Yes, but it's not. So what's the big deal?

Dont forget above and beyond everything else your paying 40 to park the hummer and its a 20 minute walk plus the pat down at the door (Forget smuggling in M&M's and water) Its greed - sheer greed. And of course stupidity on the part of the people paying. If you have that much spare cash, how about you sponsor a few third world kids or donate to KERA so those people quit taking over programming for months on end. (You might get free videos of Dr. Dwyer or Suzi)

Yeah...I doubt I'll be going to any of the games, although I might go tailgate partying at the Gas Pipe on Cooper. I understand they are going to be doing that during the games and handing out freebies.

Peter - seriously? How many 3rd world kids have you adopted the last time you checked?
If you think it's too much, then don't go. Pretty simple solution...but get off your high-horse. I'd probably think you spend your spare cash on some stupid things too, but it really doesn't matter what I think if that's what you want to spend it on.
Why do people get so bent out of shape over this?

The parking price itself makes me not want to go to any Cowboys Stadium event. I so want to go see Muse but I'll be paying up my butt in parking.

So let me get this straight.... suites - approx $60-80K? Beer - $60-66.00 pizza - $60 parking - $$$$ Hot dog ($8.00) guessing traffic jam-on Collins/Cooper? priceless! These streets were a 'pedestrian-waiting-to-get-hit-waiting to happen. I can't imagine what they will be like at a home game. Cowboys - 9-7...is this all worth it? Will Obama let us write this off on our taxes? <g> </g>

They were trying to create a Legacy Town Center atmosphere. Didn't realize that the 'elite' don't like to shop downtown. Maybe developers were banking on Cowboys or rangers going in that area...
