Kids and family events in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, August 5-11
It's weird week for kids/families in the Dallas/Fort Worth area this week. There's the slew of the usual storytimes and camps, but there are few new events starting up. Some events featured in past weeks are continuing, so if you don't see them below, make sure to check the master list to the right to see if it's still happening.
The Dallas Zoo has been holding Zoofari Days all week, and the event will continue every day through August 8. Guests can enjoy fun and educational activities, discounted food and drink items, plus lots of animals to enjoy at half the price.
Much to the chagrin of (some) kids, the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Dallas will be holding their Back2School Bash on Saturday, August 8, at which all school-aged children can receive free haircuts, immunizations, and free dental and vision screenings. Seriously, you couldn't have waited another week?
Also on Saturday will be not one but two performances by The Wiggles at the Nokia Theatre Grand Prairie. The Australian group will be bringing their unique brand of children's music to the masses.
