Owner of Dallas restaurant Lola says he’ll close the place in October

13

— Van Roberts, owner of Lola Restaurant, which is easily one of the most revered restaurants in the city, intends to shut it down in October, says Eats.

Roberts blamed the economy and said that he and his wife are expecting twins in January, so he wants some time off.

where is/was this restaurant located?...the story doesn't make sense...He blames the economy for its closing, however, they expect twins, so he wants some time off. If i was expecting twins, I WOULD BE TRYING TO FIND SOME KIND OF EMPLOYMENT, unless he tucked away alot of money, and in any case, I would try to find something so this money saved, doesn't go away fast. Just my opinion.....

daveedt, if you click on "Lola," you'll see the address, phone number, little map, all of the details you need about the place

and yes, his explanation of why he's closing is a little confusing, isn't it

I went to urban market the other day and it looks abysmal, not much stock, pictures gone from the walls. I asked the cashier if they were closing and she said "I don't think so but I'm not sure".... :-(

Isn't the Urban Market getting major funds form the City of Dallas (taxpayers)? The food is not bad, but at what cost, to the taxpayers? If it's not getting tax funding, my bad...
