UPDATED: Twestival Dallas, a Twitter fest, scheduled for Sept. 12 at Mockingbird Station
Updated 09:17 a.m., August 7, 2009
DALLAS Twestival Dallas is back. We brought you video coverage of the February 2009 get-together, and they're kicking it off again Sept. 12 at Mockingbird Station, organizer Chad Bolinger released last night. Dallas is one of more than 200 cities inviting twitterific tweeps to share ideas about micro-blogging and raise money for charity.
This year's event will include a charity of choice, voted on by anyone interested in the Twestival. Last year's events supported one charity for all 200 cities; this year, each city can choose their own.
Bolinger hoped the SPCA of Texas will win, but site surfers seemed to favor La Reunion TX. Update: In the end, The Women's Museum was declared the winner.
They're still looking for sponsors or donors. Contact dallastwestival@gmail.com or follow them on twitter at @dallastwestival.
