Dallas to hold first annual Back to School Carnival
Families are invited to attend the Back to School Carnival sponsored by Dallas City Councilmember Carolyn R. Davis, Shavias Giving Grace, and the Kayotik Kids Foundation. The family event, taking place on Saturday, August 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Exline Recreation Center, will feature music, food, a bounce house, games, giveaways, face paintings, free haircuts for boys, and gift certificates for girls.
Young children will also enjoy the little fire engine robot that communicates with children and discusses fire prevention, smoke detectors, escaping from fires, and general fire safety tips. Sparky and a fire prevention officer will also teach fire safety in an entertaining way.
Visitors will learn about Dallas Police Department community programs and hear crime prevention tips from officers with the Police Athletic League, the Bike-Bots Program, Kids and Cops Trading Card Program, and the McGruff Program.

Boys get haircuts and girls get gift certificates? Sounds like the boys got hosed.

Yeah, what? "Free haircut!"
People realize you can do those at home yourself, anyway, right?
