Regent Theater and Paciugo Gelato moving out of posh Highland Park Village in Dallas

2

— The Regent movie theater in Highland Park Village is closing, ostensibly for remodeling, according to a spokesperson for the shopping center, who said they want to find a new movie theater company to operate the space. The Paciugo Gelato kiosk in the theater lobby is also closing down and is on the verge of opening another location on Lovers Lane.

The center was purchased in May from longtime owner Henry Miller by HP Village Partners, a group led by Highland Park resident Ray Washburne. They've installed trees and will be opening two new stores: Vince, a woman’s clothing store, and Menchie's, a frozen yogurt store. Yay frozen yogurt.

The best kept secret within the Village is the third story bar on top of Mi Cocina.

tetsujin28---you are correct, I love that third story "hide-out". But oh my gosh, when you finally leave, after drinks, that walk down the stairs and all THE stares you get from the crowd dining below, makes it really neat! Long live Henry S. Miller III!
