Dallas’ new budget planning to merge libraries and cultural office
Arts types are a little PO'd that a proposal in the forthcoming city budget would combine the cultural office with the library system. Also planned in the $1.9 billion budget is a 30% decrease in arts allocations. Many of the people upset point to the new budget's bad timing, considering the opening of the Center for the Performing Arts.
