Plano city employees received $1.5 million in raises since November
Though there has been a slight dip since the economic downturn, the City of Plano is staying relatively steady when it comes to employee raises. Since November, $1.5 million has been handed out, mostly in mandatory pay hikes to police and firefighters, but city managers have also shared in the fiscal love.
Various items/jobs have been shed from the city's budget, but salary increases have still been in place. However, Plano's new budget does not include an across-the-board pay raise.
