Kids and family events in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, August 12-18

Only two notable new offerings in the Dallas/Fort Worth area this week:

Good news for circus fans in Fort Worth -- the previously mentioned Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey: Over the Top (which just finished a one week+ stay in Dallas) will kick off the first of seven shows at the Fort Worth Convention Center on Wednesday, August 12. Act quick, though -- they're heading to Austin on Monday.

Plano Children's Theatre will start their run of Grease on Friday, August 14. While the idea of tweens and teens singing stuff like "Greased Lightning" may sound off-putting, the material has been slightly adapted to appeal to family audience.
