Apartment complex on Ross Avenue in Dallas’ West End faces foreclosure
DALLAS The apartment complex at 1001 Ross Avenue in Dallas' West End is facing foreclosure. It's one of 184 commercial and investment properties facing foreclosure in Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, and Denton counties. The complex was built in 2003. I remember at the time thinking it was interesting that they built apartments on that corner (Ross and Griffin), and they looked cool from the outside, but wondered who would want to live in the West End, which has always felt touristy. Also, it seemed like it took a while for the ground-floor retail spaces to fill in.

Yes it was one of those dream's of the area and not close enough to Victoy Park then again, they had nice warehouses down there they tore down....and 100 other things that say this is not a urban homeland folks...it was in the 1880's to 1920's,then again the noise and traffic and weird people.....do you want to live there...ok artist and hobos it is your turn...A/T, Urban Pioneer, 1974 to 2003.

Just like the one right at the train stop and Ross..that building and the retail space below it are never going to get rented, IMO. Too many roughnecks down there for any high end establishment to deal with.

Back to the basics: Clean up the area first - then build/remodel etc.
You can't hope it will suddenly become better AFTER you redo the building.
What ever happened to feasibility plans?

Part of the other problem is I note....traffic in That area, and the kinds of immigrants who make the area...Dangerous...Back in the 1880's, that was Theatre row for the wild flop house's in the area..such was sin notorious then as it could be now, while I did hear a meth lab was taken down several months ago, some places never change..while the history may be gone, the old voodoo vibes come on back...and that location is where they used to house the buffalo hides from the old rail road docks...A/T, filler up or empty it out....Glass house..
