Dallas family kidnapped in Oregon is rescued in California
A Dallas woman, her two daughters, and grandson were found safe in Bakersfield, Calif., after being kidnapped by the woman's ex-husband in Oregon.
The victims were nabbed at a Salem shopping mall last week, and alleged kidnapper Ricardo Toro Nunez was going to force them to go to Mexico. The ex-wife, Luz Villanueva, attempted to escape the first night, but Nunez threatened to kill her, police told one Oregon news site. The daughters were able to call sheriffs on Friday when they were sent out to buy food, and then the four were rescued.
Nunez is accused of four counts of kidnapping, menacing, coercion, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
