UPDATED: Police arrest alleged Dallas rapist, who used fender bender scheme to isolate victims
Dallas police are warning residents to be on the lookout for a man responsible for the kidnapping and rape of two women in the past couple of weeks.
UPDATE: The suspect in this case, a 26-year-old man, has been arrested, the DMN reports. He's being held in the Dallas County Jail.
Both the incidents (one on Aug. 2 and the more recent one on Aug. 15) occurred in the early morning hours. The suspect, described as a 25 to 38-year-old Latin male weighing around 170 pounds, drove a black Chevy pickup. He initiated the crime by bumping into the cars driven by the two victims; when they pulled into parking lots to exchange insurance information, the guy pulled a knife, drove the women to different locations, and raped them.
The first incident happened in the 2700 block of West Davis; the second one near Marsh and Forest.
