Dallas ISD’s Mark Twain Leadership Vanguard School third graders to receive free school supplies
DALLAS Third grade students from Dallas Independent School District’s Mark Twain Leadership Vanguard School will receive free school supplies at 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 20, at the school’s library, 724 Green Cove Lane.
Sponsored by Comerica Bank, the back-to-school event is designed to teach students about money management and financial literacy. Students will use “Comerica dollars” to purchase all the supplies at the “Comerica School Supply Store” to prepare for the new school year 2009-2010 which starts Monday, August 24.
Among the program participants are Dwaine Caraway, Dallas Mayor Pro Tem; Carla Ranger Dallas ISD Trustee, District 6; and Assistant Banking Center Manager for Comerica Bank, Dawna Alberty.
