City of Arlington still in budget slump despite projected Cowboys Stadium revenue
ARLINGTON Arlington faces a $13 million deficit for the upcoming fiscal year, and city officials are cutting back to save funds. But it begs the question: Isn't Jerry World going to bring in some bucks?
The answer is yes -- it'll generate $1.2 million in sales tax revenue, the Star-Telegram reports, but that isn't near enough. The city has laid off some workers and made other trims and tucks, but they turn back to the Cowboys Stadium for more money. On Tuesday (August 18), the city approved an ordinance to charge stadiumgoers to park in parking lots downtown. They'll also charge $150 to $400 to businesses who are operating the lots. Cha-ching!

don't forget the 25 dollars they are now collecting for each car that parks in their lots, even though tax payers already paid for said lot.
I think Arlington is taking a page from the NTTA book.

No fan of Arlington, but in their defense, part of the sales job OF the parking lots was charging people a buttload to use them... hence revenue, hence taxes.
