Health authorities confirm two cases of West Nile virus in Keller
Tarrant County health authorities have confirmed that two Keller men over the age of 50 have contracted the West Nile virus.
The mosquito-borne disease, which is dangerous primarily to the elderly, has turned up in Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Grapevine, Colleyville, and Fort Worth already this season.
Authorities suggest those at risk wear insect repellent when going outdoors, and urge property owners to get rid of standing water where mosquitoes are likely to breed.
