McKinney police go online to recover goods stolen from unlocked vehicles
McKinney police trying to track down suspects in a month-long string of car burglaries utilized both the internet and good old-fashioned street work to locate stolen items and identify suspected thieves.
About 140 car burglaries were reported in a 30-day time period, mostly from unlocked vehicles. Roughly $20,000 worth of goods were reported stolen. Five arrests have been made as a result of the recent investigations, but police are saying that there are more thieves out there at work, and suggest you lock your car and keep your valuables out of sight.
