Rover Dramawerks opens the musical My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra, conceived by David Grapes and Todd Olson, on Thursday, September 10. Performances will be at the Cox Building Playhouse in Plano (next to the Courtyard Theater), continuing through October 3, with shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and an additional matinee performance on Saturday, September 19 at 2 p.m.

My Way is a musical tribute to the songs made famous by Frank Sinatra, “the first modern pop superstar.” This elegant evening contains 56 songs sung by four great singers, including "All the Way," "Fly Me to The Moon," "I Only Have Eyes For You," "It Was A Very Good Year, "The Lady Is A Tramp," "My Funny Valentine," "New York, New York," and, of course, "My Way." The show is a bright, breezy tribute to one of the greatest vocalists of all time. The talented ensemble cast includes Brynne Huffman, Claire Moore, Silas Moores, and R. Bradford Smith.

Mark-Brian Sonna directs and choreographs, with Richard Gwozdz as musical director. Jan Toms is assistant director/stage manager, Patrick S. O’Neil is set designer, Michael Campbell is lighting designer, and Paul McKenzie is costume designer.

Tickets for My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra are $15 on Thursdays and matinees and $18 on Fridays and Saturdays. Thursday, September 10 is Preview Night, and all seats are “pay-what-you-can.” The following Thursday, September 17, Rover Dramawerks invites all patrons to join the cast at the ArtCentre of Plano (three blocks down from the theatre) after the show for a reception with the cast, director, and designers, as well as Rover board members.

My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra is the final show in Rover Dramawerks’ 2008-09 Season and will be followed by Premiere! by Dale Wasserman, opening Rover’s 10th Anniversary Season. Tickets for My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra may be ordered online at www.roverdramawerks.com, and 2009-10 Season tickets are available.
