North Richland Hills City Council called out for praying to Jesus

The next thing you know, they're gonna come after the mantises. When will it end?
An anonymous resident in North Richland Hills has enlisted the help of the Freedom From Religion Foundation in Wisconsin to complain about the city council praying during meetings. Well, it's not the actual praying that he/she is concerned about, but rather that they're using specifically Christian prayers instead of non-denominational ones.
An attorney for the city says the council is doing nothing wrong and will continue in the practice. He also said that the FFRF has "a point of view." Don't we all?

Great, another religion thread. They always end so well.
Let me try: Our country was founded on Christian principles, without prayer in meetings we don't have a chance.
No, no no, this is exactly what started the Ayotollah, next thing we know we'll be wearing burkhas.
No no, well you get the picture.
Me, I've prayed before trials, before tests, at the courthouse, at restaurants, no one has ever stopped me from praying. Now state sponsored prayer is a whole other animal. We have that pesky old first amendment, drafted by men, who recalled what it was like to have a state religion and wanted nothing like that here. I think they were pretty smart guys.
