UPDATED: Paul Quinn College sues to get accreditation back after appeal fails

The college claims that their financial situation is not nearly as dire as the association makes it out to be.

An appeals committee for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools rejected the attempt by Paul Quinn College to regain its accreditation Monday. The college claims that their financial situation is not nearly as dire as the association makes it out to be, and vows to go to court to prove it.

Classes are scheduled to start on October 5, though it's unclear at this point if that will actually happen or if there will be any students left to attend the classes.

UPDATE: Paul Quinn officially filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday to try and regain their accreditation.
