Kids and family events in Dallas-Fort Worth, August 26 - September 1
Sigh... all good things must come to an end, and unfortunately for (most) kids, summer is over and school is back in session. But that doesn't mean you can't still have a little fun.
Teens can learn about joys of creative writing during Moving Words Literacy Camp: Expressing the essence of Y-O-U at the Forest Green Branch Library in Dallas on Saturday, August 29 (another session will be held at the same time at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Branch Library). The one-hour camp will focus on writing creative fiction, poetry and playwriting.
The GermanDeli.com Outlet Store in Colleyville (you did know that was there, didn't you?) will be hosting Kartoffel Fest (Potato Fest) on Sunday, August 30. The fourth annual event will feature tastings, door prizes, and a "Potato Roll," which is harder than you think.
Know of any kids and family events we should have mentioned? Tell us about them in the comments section below.
