Two lanes of I-20 in Grand Prairie to be closed from Sunday through Thursday
GRAND PRAIRIE The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is allowing two right eastbound lanes of I-20 to be closed between S.H. 161 and Carrier Parkway from Sunday, August 30 through Thursday, September 3.
The lanes will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. through 6 a.m. the following morning from August 30 through September 3.
As part of this operation the exit ramp from I-20 to Carrier Parkway will be closed on Tuesday, September 2 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.
All closures are weather permitting. Detour signage has been placed and portable message boards have been advertising the lane closure at these locations for more than seven days prior.
This work is part of an $18 million “bundle bid contract” for routine maintenance in Dallas County over the next two years.
TxDOT is striving to minimize disruptions for central Dallas citizens while also working to improve safety, reduce congestion and improve air quality. For more lane closure information: http://www.dot.state.tx.us/travel/road_conditions.htm
