Fort Worth filmed GasLand documentary accepted to Sundance Film Fest
Can you light your tap water? (Just wait.)
From content partner Don Young of FWCanDo comes news of a new feature-length documentary about natural gas extraction going on around the country.
It's called GasLand, and it includes coverage of Barnett Shale natural gas drilling and recovery efforts taking place in and around the Fort Worth area.
GasLand is the work of filmmaker Josh Fox. Fox's film has been accepted as an Official Selection at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
There's not a trailer available for the film just yet, but there is this cool (as in hot) teaser:

There is a lot going on now in regard to domestic natural gas reserves and there is a movie out there which does a good job of portraying the potential role that, responsibly produced, natural gas can play in our clean energy future. It is called Haynesville and has screened at Sheffield, COP-15 and SXSW.
